Fun Music Thursday!
Hey lords and ladies, just thought I'd chime in with a little fun. I've been on a great search for fun music, and came across a few new finds, so if you haven't heard of these bands...you need to turn on whatever you use to get music and CHECK THEM OUT!
-Dispatch-A great band, with a folk/blues rock sound. Good guitar work, but perfect accent drumming behind it, with perfect walking bass behind it, all topped off with a great lead singer with a rich, pure voice. Minimalist, to be sure, but minimalism at its best. "The General"
-Cary Brothers-As heard on the Garden State Soundtrack. Great, moody, melodic, passionate voice on the lead singers make it a wonder to behold. Great harmonization, great musicianship, though nothing truly impressive. "Blue Eyes"
-At the Drive-In-If you haven't heard this band by now, step back and prepare to be blown away. This isn't normal rock by any definition. The leader singer's rapid delivery mixed with harsh, rough rocking of his choruses mix with the occasional soft section to create a sound that will amaze all from soft to hardcore rockers. "Invalid Litter Department"
-Adem-Soft, sweet, sit back and listen. Great vocals and musicianship here, you'll be amazed. Nothing more to be said about these guys. Just listen. "Adem"
